Linum is a perennial plant from the Middle East that blooms from June to August, usually blue. Flax fibres are used in the production of clothing and its seeds have numerous health-promoting properties. It is also used as an ornamental plant, perfectly fitting in rustic climate beds or rocky gardens. In Poland it was associated with interesting folk customs.

Dried Linum comes from Polish producers. It is dried when its spherical seed pods are visible. It comes in a natural version but it is also bleached and dyed in various colours.
